Born in Hollywood, parents were artists; Mother Med/Tech illustrator; taught me how to draw and introduced me to artists. Majored in Art in High School. Accepted by Otis Parsons and SF Art Institute. Attended a program for High School students at Parsons - Life Drawing, I believe. Also attended Santa Monica City College for art and the San Francisco Art Institute for 3 years; ending in an independent study project in London, England. Began working with Costume at SFAI; as an adjunct to performance. Founded the Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild in 1990. Curated the Victorian Mourning Exhibition at the Neptune Society Columbarium in 1990, Founded the Gentleman's Society in 1993, Founded Domina Donna Bella in 1998 (?)
Founded Bella Donna Courtesans in 2004 and helped launch the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood at the Dicken's Christmas Fair. I'm currently working on drawings and assemblages as well as my you tube channel; "Jwlhyfer's Gothic Bohemian Salon;" My take on the Gothic Subculture.
